A peek at the crew of "Dragon and the Hawk"

A motion picture tries to capture the sense and feeling of an experience that goes beyond the mere and ordinary, something powerful and special that, through the magical power of a long strip of film and a bright light, can somehow be brought within reach.

In between the anticipation-filled moment when the theater lights fade to black, taking with them the sights and sounds of the ordinary world that surrounds us, and that inevitable time when credits roll and house lights return to carry us back to our own lives, a million flickering images captured on film come to life and allow us to share an extraordinary experience with everyone who has joined us in the theater, everyone who finds his or her imagination drawn into this movie, whether today or in years to come.

When those of us who stand in front of the camera manage to look good (or evil, when villains we are), it's because many tireless souls who work their magic behind the camera have made us look that way. Directors, editors, writers, choreographers, lighting technicians, grips and gaffers, managers, coordinators, set decorators, and makeup artists, the hardworking men and women who together keep the actors fed, clean, in the right places at the right times, and endlessly put up with the time, trouble, and the many, many trials and errors it can take to make the final scene come out "just so"--they are all stars too in their own right, and when we actors shine, it's their light you see reflected in us as well.

I'll try to shut up for now, which is often the hardest thing for a performer to do, and let the pictures that follow speak for themselves; I hope they tell you some of the stories of what it's like to be making a motion picture, an experience that is itself anything but ordinary.
